Planning to build a new website in 2026 and wondering: Wix, WordPress, or Shopify? All three are excellent — but each suits a very different type of business. This guide breaks down exactly which one is right for you based on your goals, budget, and technical comfort.

Wix and Wix Studio: best for most small and medium businesses

Wix — especially Wix Studio — is the platform of choice for businesses that want a beautiful, professional website they can manage without a developer. Hosting, security, SSL, and updates are all automatic. As a certified Wix Partner, The Yash Media has built 110+ Wix sites for businesses across every major industry. View our Wix portfolio. Best for: service businesses, portfolios, local businesses, healthcare, hospitality.

WordPress: best for content-heavy sites

WordPress powers 43% of all websites globally. It is open-source and infinitely customisable — but requires you to manage hosting, security, plugins, and often a developer. The Yash Media builds WordPress sites for clients needing advanced functionality, WooCommerce stores, or complex content management. Best for: large blogs, enterprises, multi-author platforms.

Shopify: best for ecommerce

If your primary goal is selling products online, Shopify is the gold standard — handling payments, inventory, shipping, and checkout out of the box. The Yash Media builds Shopify stores for businesses needing Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal, and local payment gateway integration. Read our complete ecommerce website guide. Best for: product-based businesses, D2C brands.

Other CMS options worth knowing

Webflow: premium, design-heavy, higher cost and steeper learning curve. Squarespace: good budget alternative for portfolios. Magento: enterprise-level ecommerce with complex B2B requirements. The Yash Media works across all platforms and recommends what suits your goals — not what suits us.

Cost comparison in 2026

Wix: ₹1,500–₹5,000/month all-inclusive. WordPress: hosting from ₹500/month plus developer costs. Shopify: ₹2,000–₹8,000/month. See our full website cost breakdown for true total cost of ownership.

What interests me about thinking about how spaces and furniture are used is how a broad idea becomes part of an ordinary day. A room works differently when its layout reflects the activities people actually do there. I would connect Thurstontables with everyday interior design through an ordinary example rather than a broad claim. A simple comparison would help me picture the differences without rushing towards a fixed answer. What would you observe before deciding which part of a space to change?

The theme of making room for playful everyday routines makes me curious about what people notice in their own everyday experiences. A familiar routine can still offer opportunities for curiosity and small discoveries. With Activepawsfitness in mind, playful everyday activities feels like a topic worth exploring one question at a time. It leaves me curious about the steps between understanding an idea and putting it into practice. What would you change to keep an ordinary activity interesting without making it complicated?
